Training Programs

SavvyPol is committed to developing the next generation of African leadership. Our courses teach prospective candidates how to win by positioning and branding themselves, raising money, dealing with the media, and leveraging personal relationships, as well as how to avoid the most common pitfalls that ruin campaigns. An emphasis is placed on how to be a public servant. We’ll review your motivations for running for office, what you need to do before beginning a campaign, and prepare you for the rigors of a political race.

General Candidate Trainings

Anyone can run for office, but not everyone has what it takes to be a candidate. At SavvyPol, we can help you find your voice, channel your passion, and build a political campaign that is both successful and a true reflection of who you are as a candidate. Whether you are running for Mayor or MP, Sheriff or Senator, whether this is your first race or your fifth, our campaign experts can provide insight, guidance and a helping hand. Our team has cumulatively worked on over 200 campaigns – from municipal to federal – on 3 continents.

Trainings for Female Candidates

Women are highly committed to promoting national and local policies that address the socioeconomic and political challenges facing women, children and disadvantaged groups. Countries where women are supported as leaders have the lowest levels of corruption. Comprising over 50 percent of the world’s population, women continue to be under-represented as voters, political leaders and elected officials. Democracy cannot truly deliver for all of its citizens if half of the population remains underrepresented in the political arena. SavvyPol partner Nancy Bocskor is a leading expert in training and empowering women around the world to run for office. Our training programs teach women how to advocate on matters of policy, run for political office, be elected, govern effectively, and participate meaningfully in every facet of civic and political life.

Staff & Party Trainings

Our course teaches party operatives how to win by positioning and branding their candidates, raising money, dealing with the media, targeting voters, running state-of-the-art-field operations and more. We train staff in how to most effectively and successfully do their jobs and in how to help their campaign win.
